I have done ALL kinds of needlework in my 70 years but had never heard of "Needle Minders" - These little things are tiny works of art! (besides being quite helpful) I finally settled on this one as my inspiration.
I stamped my music then masked it and used a cotton ball to apply chalks in a light antique buff color to the strip. Die cut the rose and sponged a bit of Worn lipstick to the lower edge of the pink piece and used a white gel pen to give a bit more definition to the veins in the leaves. Stamped the sentiment on the bottom and added a trio of gemstones in the upper opposing corner for balance.
I really like this old sentiment as it can be used for SO many occasions depending on what gets stamped inside.

This is so pretty, Linda. It reminds me of the song by Bette Midler, The Rose, which I loved and still one I love to hear. So glad to introduce you to needle minders.
